Device location
The nearby-help finder asks for device location only after you select “Use my current location.” Your browser or operating system controls whether permission is granted. The finder uses the coordinates in your browser to select a supported city directory and estimate straight-line distances to published business addresses. It does not store the coordinates, send them to Emergency-Roadside.net, or add them to the page address.
You can deny or withdraw location permission and use the city and state search instead. Your browser or device settings explain how to review or reset location permissions.
Directory search
City and state searches are used to show matching directory pages. Search words are sent as part of the directory page address, so do not enter an exact breakdown location or other sensitive personal information into the search box.
Telephone calls and website addresses
Telephone links can start a call to the listed provider or public agency. Website links can open the provider’s or agency’s external site. Any information you provide after leaving Emergency-Roadside.net or independently contacting an organisation is governed by that organisation’s privacy practices.
Operational data
Hosting and security providers may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website. This can include an IP address, requested page, request time, browser or device information, referring page, diagnostic logs and security cookies. Emergency Roadside does not use this operational data to build advertising profiles.
Affiliate and commercial links
Ordinary directory and source links are editorial unless clearly identified otherwise. If a page includes an affiliate link, the page will disclose that relationship. When you follow such a link, the affiliate network or advertiser may receive the referring page, time of the click, device or browser information and an identifier used to attribute a later purchase or inquiry. Their privacy notices govern that processing.
Emergency Roadside does not receive payment-card details or information entered on an advertiser’s website.
Listing data
Business contact details displayed in the directory are sourced from official agency pages or the businesses’ own public websites.
